Medicine sourcing support for private clinics and oncology centres
Private oncology centres and specialty clinics buy differently from hospitals: smaller quantities, patient by patient, often for a product that is not registered locally at all. This page covers exactly how that works and what happens when the medicine changes hands.
There is no shipment involved. We locate and procure the medicine through a licensed pharmacy in Türkiye against the prescription supplied, and we hand it to the clinic's representative in person, accompanied where a cold chain applies.
Single-patient sourcing, procured directly
Sourcing can be arranged for a single pack for one identified patient. There is no requirement to buy at hospital volumes to obtain a specialty or oncology product, and a repeat course for the same patient is handled as a continuation of the same enquiry rather than starting over each cycle.
For a treatment course that runs over several cycles, tell us the cycle interval and the number of cycles at enquiry stage, so we can plan repeat procurement through the same pharmacy against the treatment schedule where possible.
Reply times
How quickly we can procure a specific medicine depends on things outside our control: whether the medicine requires an import permit at destination, whether it is in stock with a Turkish pharmacy, and how the clinic's representative or ours can arrange the in-person handover.
For that reason no lead-time figure is published on this site. Every enquiry receives an individual written reply, normally within 24 hours, indicating what is realistic for that specific medicine and quantity.
Accompanied cold-box handling for 2–8 °C biologics
- Monoclonal antibodies, most immunotherapies and enzyme replacement products travel at 2–8 °C in a qualified cold box for the duration of the journey to handover — the medicine is accompanied, not consigned to a courier.
- A calibrated data logger travels inside the cold box. The logger record is shown to the clinic's representative at the point of handover, so the excursion status can be checked in person rather than taken on trust.
- At handover the clinic should check the logger record before the product is placed in the fridge, and decline anything with an unexplained excursion.
- We are not a cold chain handled per manufacturer storage requirements distributor and hold no depot; the cold chain we describe here is the accompanied cold-box journey to in-person handover, not a warehoused or third-party-shipped consignment.
What documentation the clinic receives and should keep
- Prescription for the identified patient
- Issued by the treating physician, naming the patient, the product, strength, dose and duration. This is the document we use to procure the medicine from a licensed pharmacy.
- Import permit, where the destination country requires one
- Applied for by the clinic, before we procure the medicine. Arranging this permit is the clinic's own route, not something we do on its behalf.
- Pharmacy invoice and pack verification
- The dispensing pharmacy's invoice, checked at handover against the batch, expiry and İTS karekod printed on the pack, plus the temperature record where a cold chain applied. Keep these against the patient file.
- Handover record
- Who received the medicine, when, the logger status at receipt where relevant, and where the product was stored afterwards.
Where the product is unlicensed locally
Where a medicine has no marketing authorisation in the country of treatment, most regulators provide a route by which a treating physician can obtain it for one identified patient on their clinical responsibility — named-patient supply, compassionate use or a special-import permit depending on the jurisdiction.
That route is patient-specific by design: it does not permit stockholding, it does not permit advertising, and clinical responsibility stays with the prescriber. Our role is limited to locating and procuring the specific pack against the prescription, and handing it over in person.
How Pharmacy Remedy Works
Four steps, from your first question to handover.
Step 1
Ask about the medicine
Tell us the medicine name, strength, quantity and destination country.
Step 2
Availability check
We check whether the medicine is obtainable through licensed Türkiye pharmacy channels.
Step 3
Prescription and quote
Send your prescription. You receive a written quote within 24 hours.
Step 4
In-person delivery
Delivered by hand, with the invoice and karekod verification at handover.
A valid prescription is required. Medicines are sourced through licensed Türkiye pharmacy channels; the licence belongs to those channels, not to Pharmacy Remedy.
Other buyer types
Request the product list
Institutional buyers — hospitals, oncology centres, clinics, licensed importers and wholesalers — can request the current list of medicines we can look into sourcing through licensed Türkiye pharmacy channels. The form captures the details needed to answer a sourcing enquiry properly.
Frequently asked questions
Will you source a single pack for one patient?
Yes. Single-patient sourcing is normal for specialty and oncology products. We procure the pack directly from a licensed pharmacy against the prescription naming the patient, and hand it over in person.
How are 2–8 °C products handled without a courier?
The medicine travels accompanied in a qualified cold box for the journey to handover, with a calibrated data logger inside. The logger record is shown to the clinic's representative at handover.
What must the clinic keep on file?
The prescription for the identified patient, the import permit where the destination requires one, the pharmacy invoice checked against the pack at handover, and a handover record noting the logger status where a cold chain applied.
Can you commit to a delivery date?
No fixed lead time is published. Every enquiry gets an individual written reply, normally within 24 hours, because permit timing and pharmacy stock position are outside our control.
