    Venclyxto (venetoclax; marketed as Venclexta in the US) is AbbVie's oral BCL-2 inhibitor for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia and acute myeloid leukaemia. Treatment starts with a weekly dose ramp-up, which is why it comes in three tablet strengths and a starting pack.

    • Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia — with obinutuzumab, with rituximab, with ibrutinib, or as monotherapy (label-dependent)
    • Newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukaemia in patients ineligible for intensive chemotherapy, with a hypomethylating agent (label-dependent)

    Procurement notes

    The first five weeks of CLL treatment use the starting pack (20 → 50 → 100 → 200 → 400 mg), after which supply switches to 100 mg tablets. Tell us which phase the patient is in so the right packs are sourced; AML regimens use a different ramp-up.

    Yes, subject to availability. The starting pack and the 100 mg maintenance tablets are quoted separately because they are used in different weeks of treatment.

    Venclyxto (EU and most markets) and Venclexta (US) are the same active substance, venetoclax, from AbbVie under different regional brand names.
