How CEREZYME Works
Cerezyme (Imiglucerase) is a recombinant form of the enzyme glucocerebrosidase. It catalyzes the hydrolysis of glucocerebroside to glucose and ceramide in the lysosomes of macrophages, thereby reducing the pathological accumulation that causes the symptoms of Gaucher disease.
About CEREZYME 400 U/10mL
CEREZYME (Imiglucerase) 400 U/10mL by Sanofi Genzyme is the world's first and most established enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) for Gaucher disease — a rare inherited lysosomal storage disorder affecting approximately 1 in 40,000-60,000 people worldwide. Gaucher disease is caused by a deficiency of the enzyme glucocerebrosidase (GCase), leading to accumulation of glucocerebroside in macrophages throughout the body. This results in hepatosplenomegaly (enlarged liver and spleen), bone disease including avascular necrosis and pathological fractures, anemia, thrombocytopenia, and impaired quality of life. Cerezyme replaces the deficient enzyme through biweekly intravenous infusions, effectively reversing or preventing the hematological, visceral, and skeletal manifestations of the disease. With over 30 years of clinical experience since its approval in 1994, Cerezyme has the most extensive long-term safety and efficacy data of any Gaucher disease treatment. As a licensed pharmaceutical supplier based in Turkey, we provide authentic Sanofi Genzyme CEREZYME with complete cold chain handling (2-8°C), certificate of authenticity, and competitive wholesale pricing for hospitals, specialty pharmacies, and rare disease treatment centers worldwide.
